Restoring balance to freshwater systems for resilience, community, and future security

Fresh water is not just a resource, it is the foundation of island life, local economies, and ecological stability. In regions where seasonal scarcity, climate pressure, and outdated management models intensify water stress, sustainable water stewardship becomes essential.

Through research, public dialogue, and community engagement, we strengthen awareness around water scarcity, reconnect modern challenges with traditional water practices, and promote more responsible consumption and local resilience.

By combining research, community engagement, and policy dialogue to strengthen long-term water resilience on the island, this project addresses the freshwater scarcity challenge on Aegina.
Strengthening freshwater resilience awareness in Aegina through art-led, experiential education, making local water cycles visible and tangible within an early childhood education setting.
